The Kubernetes Enhancement Proposal Process continues to evolve to accommodate the demands of a high velocity and volume project. But a mature process can be daunting to smaller projects who might be wrestling with whether their project even needs one.
KubeVirt started with no process, but as the project increases in size popularity, and complexity, design proposals became not just an excellent way to converge on better solutions, they are now fundamental to ensuring long-term maintenance, openness, and prioritisation of features. So much so that we have developed our own Enhancement Proposal process.
